Rock With Me (With Me In Seattle, #4) by Kristen Proby
Title: Rock with Me
Series: With Me in Seattle Series
Author: Kristen Proby
Synopsis: Front Man Leo Nash from the world-famous rock band, Nash, is the last person on earth Samantha Williams would trust. She’s already learned about loving a celebrity the hard way and isn’t signing up for another lesson.
Backtracking a bit, I would like to mention that I found this series a couple of months ago and proceeded to purchase books 1-3 (see below for the full list of books) and read them (along with all the extras) in a matter of DAYS. So when I saw book 4 coming out, fan girl squeals immediately ensued.
Yet again Kristen has managed to draw in the reader from the very beginning. I loved the dual point-of-view writing. I think it gives the story more life since you can see the situation from both characters perspectives. I “felt” for them and their struggles. I enjoyed watching their romance slowly evolve and their relationship issues became exposed at the same time. So, I got to learn what their problems were and see how they worked through them as the story progressed. It just gave it more of a realistic feel.
There were lots of funny scenes and snarky comments made by both Sam and Leo. I especially loved it when Leo would comment on Sam’s “storage system” when they went running. Another ongoing joke between them was Sam’s favorite band which I looked forward to seeing what her answer would be every time Leo asked. Not to mention the orgasm talk the girls in the books have EVERY time they drink.
And we can’t leave out the best part….the hotness that is Leo Nash. He just oozes “manliness and sex” which totally makes you want a piece of him as much as Sam does. I believe Sam uses the word virile at the beginning of the book. Throughout the book she is practically obsessed with licking his star tattoos and I can’t blame her. In fact I’m very, very jealous! The sex scenes are HOTT like only Kristen can write. Steamy and all over the place….even in a recording studio office!
Overall I thought the book was very well written and flowed very nicely. There was just the right amount of description without going overboard. I got a feel for the room or area they were in without feeling like I need to skip paragraphs to get to the “good stuff.” In fact I had a hard time putting it down to do non-important things…..like sleep, eat, and work. Excellent book and I can’t wait to the rest in the series when they are released!
